BIC helps clients who cannot afford private attorneys get the accredited legal services they deserve. BIC provides free classes and tutoring to prepare for the citizenship test to foreign-born Berkshire residents. BIC helps families in desperate need with critical financial help.

The generosity of our donors is why Berkshire Immigrant Center is able to offer these importance and necessary services.

Did you know BIC’s two case workers helped 865 individuals this last year? Many families were trying to get back on solid ground after three years of the COVID pandemic and looked to BIC for help. Other clients came to BIC after fleeing horrific conditions in their home countries. No matter why they made the hard decision to leave their homes, all immigrants face the peril of uncertainty about their legal status here – often on top of financial and language hurdles.  

BIC helps immigrants navigate the complex and broken US immigration system. BIC helped dozens of people apply for citizenship last year and thirty-one of our clients were sworn in as new citizens. We helped our clients register to vote so their voices will be have an impact. They will always be able to call the US home. We helped people get driver’s license and connect to other agencies. 

The Center is only able to provide this help due to the generosity of donor support. Your donations cover half our costs. If you can help us stay strong in 2024, we can continue making a difference in the lives of hundreds of people.
